Hey everyone.
Even though it seems that I've been making a lot of bracelets recently, one theme that I wanted to do for a while was Bracelets for Men and never actually got around to making a tutorial. So when my friend Helder asked me if I could make him some super stylish accessories I thought it was the perfect opportunity.
If you are looking for gift ideas for guys, maybe for valentine's, father's day or even Christmas, I think these are perfect, they don't cost that much, take little time to make and you can personalize the color and style to match their personality.
Of course, these are also perfect for girls to wear, no type of discrimination intended here ;) I also made an Infinity knot one for myself using red leather laces.
The supplies used in this project are from endlessleather.com, they kindly provided everything I needed to make these bracelets. I’ve used their leather cords in past projects, they are my favorite, the quality is really good, and the clasps are stainless steel, so they won't get damaged over time, which is great.

— How to make the Hook Leather Bracelet —
Materials:
— Jewelry Findings: Ø 12,0x6,0mm Stainless Steel Hook Closure
— Nappa Cord: Ø6,0mm Nappa cord - Dark Red - I ordered 50 cm
— Epoxy Glue
Start by folding your the cord in half, put both ends through the slider piece and slide it all the way to the other end, creating a loop, then trim the excess.
Then you’ll need to glue the hook piece to close the bracelet.
To do this my suggestion is to use epoxy glue, this type of glue comes in two tubes and you need to mix equal parts of both before applying, once it is dry it will have a really strong bond.
Apply the mixture to the inside of the hook piece and be careful not to get glue on your hands.
Place the cord inside and let it dry overnight.

Then tie and wrap a piece of the 1mm leather cord around this folded bit.

Materials:

— Nappa Cord: Braided Cord Ø4,0mm - I ordered 100 cm
Remove the piece of tape that will likely be holding the ends of the braided cord and fold the end, creating a loop that you can hold using a clip. If you want to, tie a piece of crochet thread to hold it.Then tie and wrap a piece of the 1mm leather cord around this folded bit.
Glue it with epoxy glue and leave that to dry, holding with a clip.
Make sure to measure how much cord you’ll need and do the exact same thing on the other end but add the closure this time.
Cut the excess cord once it is dry and that is it.
— How to make the Infinity Knot Bracelet —
Materials:
— Jewelry Findings: Magnetic Clasp 10,0x2,5mm - Antique Silver
— Leather Cord: Flat Lace Ø5,0 x 2,0mm - brown (black edge) - I ordered 100 cm
— Leather Cord: Round Cord Ø1,0mm
— Epoxy Glue
In the hopes of helping you understand the process to make this type of Infinity Knot, the steps are exemplified in the pictures below with contrasting blue and red cords.
Start by cutting a 1-meter flat leather cord in half. Then bend one of the halves (in blue), with the top strand overlapping the other one. Next, you’re going to work with only the other half of the cord (in red) Place the new (red) piece of cord behind the other one, pulling half over the cord facing the bottom.
Bend the top part of the cord (red one) over the loop (in blue), next take the bottom one and weave it from under the loop, over the part you just put on top and again under.
Tighten it and adjust the cord, so it lays as flat as possible.
Next, using the same 1mm cord from the previous bracelet, wrap it around a few times to make a "hold" section that will keep the strands closer together. You can either use super glue to hold it or epoxy.
Add the magnetic clasp at the ends and let it dry overnight.
